Covid-19 Notice to the congregation - 21 March 2020 1.30pm

Dear congregation,

COVID-19 is declared a global pandemic. The situation is evolving rapidly and, in some measure, will impact us all. As a parish community we have a responsibility to work to slow the spread of the virus and protect the health and wellbeing of our people, particularly those most vulnerable to the disease and those with chronic medical condition. As a faith community we want to make every effort to follow the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health in containing this public health threat. Having carefully considered the advice from the Ministry of Health the Parish Council has agreed to temporarily suspend Sunday worship until further notice. This decision was not made lightly but was made with the wellbeing of our community at heart

Devotional material
Even though services will not be available on Sunday morning you are encouraged to celebrate Sunday in a domestic setting. This might include reading the appointed lectionary text for Sunday, giving thanks for family and friends and praying for those who are affected at this difficult time. You will also receive a weekly reflection based on the lectionary text along with prayers and general parish bulletin.

Let us do our part as a community of faith to respond to this pandemic by implementing the following measures.
