Touchstone - February 2019 edition

This month we bring news of celebrations and festivities throughout the country as we look back on initiatives and activities undertaken and hosted by congregations in the build-up to Christmas. Wesley College, the oldest school in New Zealand and the only Methodist school in the country is starting the year with a waiting list for places. That is quite an achievement for a decile 1, special character school. Our feature article looks at how the school has evolved and introduces two high achieving students who have recently completed their time at Wesley.

We recognise the contribution of some recently deceased identities; we celebrate the restoration and opening of historic Woodend Church and we bring news of the expansion and redevelopment of Wesleyhaven Village. We share news and views from around the Connexion and from further afield with stories about people and places around the world.

This month we are introducing a new column that explores questions concerning faith issues. Ask Aunty is a Q&A style feature that responds to queries from readers.

First issue of Touchstone for 2019, paper version is still to arrive at church but  here is the link
