Touchstone – April

Touchstone – April

The April edition of Touchstone is now available on the Methodist Church   website
http://www.methodist.org.nz/touchstone.

The front page story in this issue is on Methodist rest home Tamahere Eventide taking over the Catholic rest home Atawhai Assisi. The new endeavour will be an ecumenical one with Catholic services retained at Assisi.

Other leading stories include an interview with the new principal of Wesley College Brian Evans and a look at a the 20/20 Vision paper, which lays out ways that the Methodist Church can cope with smaller, older congregations.

We have two stories on the World Conference on Mission and Evangelism that was held in Tanzania, the second part of Terry Ryan's brief history of Nghai Tahu and Te Hahi Weteriana, and an article on the closing of St Paul's Methodist Church in Hamilton.

Paper copies of Touchstone are now available in the church foyer.
