Perceptual motor Programme (PMP) - Outreach

Perceptual motor Programme (PMP)

Glamorgan have contacted me asking if we would be able to assist with PMP. It is a big ask as our volunteers are already committed to hearing children read.
The programme consists of activities that require children to use their brain and body together to accomplish tasks.
It is a movement-based programme that concentrates on the development of perception and language through a series of planned activities - for example, walking on a balance beam while reciting the alphabet.
The programme runs from week 6(March 5th) to the end of term one, Monday – Thursday mornings, from 9.00-10.40. There are 2 sessions 9-9:50 and 9:50-10:40 so if need be we could split each morning, but would need to make the commitment to the time and day. For examples of activities, look at this link for the Perceptual motor programme.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Christine Baker.  via
